LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating the Leo Kaytes Ford dealership of
Warwick, New York, upon the occasion of celebrating its 35th anniversary
in business

WHEREAS, Organizations which serve the economic well-being and interests
of the people of this great Empire State merit the commendation of this
Legislative Body; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are enhanced by the concerned and dedicated efforts of business
organizations and individuals that generously contribute to the welfare
of the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late the Leo Kaytes Ford dealership of Warwick, New York, upon the occa-
sion of celebrating its 35th anniversary in business; this auspicious
occasion was celebrated on Saturday, May 4, 2013, by hosting the first
annual Electric Road Rally in Warwick, New York; and
WHEREAS, In 1978, Leo Kaytes opened his Warwick, New York, Ford deal-
ership on a one-acre plot of land surrounded by corn fields; over the 35
years of its successful operation, the dealership has expanded its site
to eight acres; and
WHEREAS, As part of its month long 35th anniversary celebration, the
Leo Kaytes Ford dealership hosted the first annual Electric Road Rally
in Warwick, New York, on Saturday, May 4, 2013; the rally included eight
teams of four, taking off from the dealership and making their way
through the Town of Warwick in the all-new 2013 Ford Fusion Energi and
the 2013 C-MAX Energi; and
WHEREAS, In addition, as the month long celebration kicked off on May
1, 2013, the Leo Kaytes Ford dealership offered 35 cent oil changes to
customers who brought canned goods donations for the local food bank;
additional acts of kindness included Leo Kaytes' staff members volun-
teering at a local animal shelter, free car washes when customers
brought a donation to the local animal shelter, donations to local
sports organizations and the staff volunteering for Meals on Wheels; and
WHEREAS, In all there were 35 acts of kindness undertaken by the Leo
Kaytes Ford dealership to celebrate its 35 years of business with the
local community; and
WHEREAS, Throughout its 35 years in business, the Leo Kaytes Ford
dealership has been committed to giving back to the community of
Warwick, New York; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents a unique opportunity for
this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to the Leo Kaytes
Ford dealership of Warwick, New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when business
organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be recognized by all the citizens of this great
Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the Leo Kaytes Ford dealership of Warwick, New York, upon
the occasion of celebrating its 35th anniversary in business; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Leo Kaytes Ford dealership of Warwick, New York.
