STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Commuters and visitors aboard the Staten Island Ferry can once again purchase beer and other alcoholic drinks starting Friday, March 27, marking the return of a service suspended since 2019.
State Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton described the beverage sales as an initiative to increase ridership and generate revenue, adding that she looks forward to enjoying a cold beer and partaking in “a time-honored tradition.”
