NORTH TONAWANDA—North Tonawanda Mayor Arthur G. Pappas gathered last Saturday with New York State Senator Rob Ortt, Assemblyman Robin Schimminger, Alderwoman Donna Braun, City Attorney Katherine Alexander, City of Tonawanda Mayor Rick Davis, as well as members of Meals on Wheels to highlight the new name of the organization – Twin Cities Meals on Wheels. Located at 100 Ridge Rd in North Tonawanda, the Twin Cities Meals on Wheels building received the new name plate recently, the final touch in making the new name official.
“This organization has been with us here in North Tonawanda for quite some time,” said Mayor Pappas. “All the people working behind the scenes have done a tremendous job in providing food for those with debilitating conditions that make their everyday lives difficult. The new name - Twin Cities Meals on Wheels - incorporates our neighbors to the south and I’m happy to see this unity under such a respectable organization and all they do for both communities. ”
If anyone is interested in volunteering with this valuable service to our community, please contact the organization at (716) 693-1663 or visit their website at http://www.ntmow.com.
