Ortt Delivers a Total of $40,000 to Eastern Niagara County Libraries

During a check presentation today, Senator Rob Ortt (R,C,I – North Tonawanda) delivered a total of $40,000 in ceremonial checks to the public libraries in eastern Niagara County. The money can be used to assist with educational services and programming, purchasing materials, renovations, operations, or events that serve the community.
“Libraries allow us to enrich our lives and expand our education,” said Senator Ortt. “It’s important to continue that enrichment by keeping our libraries updated and up to date with the latest technology. These grants will help our libraries continue to serve its community members.”
The amount of Senate grant money to the county libraries is as follows:
Barker Public Library - $5,000
Lockport Public Library - $20,000
Newfane Public Library - $5,000
Royalton-Hartland Community Library - $5,000
Wilson Free Library - $5,000
Last month, Senator Ortt delivered a combined $62,500 to public libraries in western Niagara County. The funds were secured by Senator Ortt in the 2016-17 State Budget in addition to funding secured last year for public libraries in his district.
