Today, Senator Rob Ortt (R,C,I,Ref-North Tonawanda) presented $40,000 in education funds to five local museums from across Niagara County for improvements in educational programs they currently offer as well as the addition of new educational resources. Joining the host of the event, the Niagara Aerospace Museum, was the Herschell Carousel Factory Museum, the Historical Society of North German Settlements in WNY, the Historical Association of Lewiston, and the Sanborn Area Historical Society.
“We are very fortunate to have so many wonderful museums and educational facilities in our area, and I am proud to have secured funding for these attractions that are responsible for the promotion and preservation of Niagara County’s unique culture and history,” said Sen. Ortt. “Not only are these facilities great for our educators to utilize when teaching our children, but they are also a great attraction for families to attend and spend quality time at together. The improvements these museums have planned are sure to improve both the educational and the entertainment experience for visitors.”
