Today, Senator Rob Ortt (R,C,I,Ref-North Tonawanda) presented $40,000 in education funds to two museums and four public libraries from across Orleans County. This funding will go toward the creation of educational programs within the various facilities, as well as the updating of technological resources. The event, which was hosted by Hoag Library, welcomed representatives from the Cobblestone Museum, the Medina Railroad Museum, the Yates Community Library, the Holley Community Free Library, and the Lee-Whedon Memorial Library.
“I am proud that I was able to secure this funding for some of the wonderful educational facilities we have located across Orleans County,” said Sen. Ortt. “These institutions play such an important role in preserving the history of Orleans County, and in educating our county’s future generations and I am thankful that we have such great leadership at each one of these entities to foster their continued successes.”
