Recently, the Village of Barker completed the first of many projects planned as part of the Main Street Rehabilitation Project. Thanks to a grant secured by Sen. Rob Ortt (R,C,I,Ref-North Tonawanda) the Village was able to complete the construction of this playground in David Barker Park located on Main Street. The milling and paving of Main Street were also completed with help from this grant.
“I’m thrilled to see that the Village of Barker was able to complete the David Barker Park playground before the summer ends – allowing the children of the area to get out and exercise on this new equipment,” said Sen. Ortt. “While there are still two to three projects remaining in the rehabilitation of Main Street, the work the Village has completed thus far has already had a positive impact on the community, and I can’t wait to stop by when the full rehab has been completed.”
