Senator Ryan Honors President of the Syracuse St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Senator Christopher J. Ryan (SD-50) today honored the President of the Syracuse St. Patrick’s Parade, Vince Christian, with a Commendation Award. These awards are given to New Yorkers who have made a dedicated and lasting contribution to their community.
“As President of the Syracuse St. Patrick’s Parade, Vince Christian plays a critical role in helping celebrate the Irish-American heritage of Syracuse and everyone who makes up our vibrant community,” said Senator Ryan. “He is a valued member of our community, committing much of his time to philanthropic activities. It's a pleasure to be able to honor Vince and all of his accomplishments.”
Before becoming President of the Parade, Vince served on the committee for the St. Patrick Hunger Project, which helps raise money for the Food Bank of CNY. Vince is also involved at the Interreligious Food Consortium which is a grassroots organization and a valuable resource in the extensive emergency food network serving the City of Syracuse and Onondaga County.
Senator Ryan presented Vince Christian with the award during the painting of the green stripe ceremony.
