This year marks the 250th anniversary of America's founding, and I invite you and your family to join us for a special America 250 Community Celebration on Sunday, June 28 at 1:00 p.m. at Francis Lewis High School.

This free, family-friendly event will feature hamburgers and hot dogs, live music, cultural performances, historical reenactments, and activities for all ages as we celebrate our nation’s past, present, and future.

You’ll also have the opportunity to share your hopes and dreams for America by contributing to a message to a community time capsule that will be sealed and placed on display at the Flushing Library, where it will remain for the next 50 years until it is opened on America’s 300th anniversary.

We look forward to celebrating this historic milestone with you, your family, and your neighbors.
