The New York State Senate Educator Recognition Program identifies and honors the outstanding contributions of educators who go above and beyond in their commitment to student success, innovative teaching practices, and leadership in their educational communities.

All entries must be submitted by the deadline of March 31, 2026.

Ahead of Teacher Appreciation Week in May, the Educators Inspiring a Generation program acknowledges and celebrates the exceptional efforts of New York educators. School professionals who demonstrate commitment to student success, employ innovative teaching methods, and show leadership within their educational communities can be considered for nomination. Each school may nominate one educator who will be awarded a certificate from their Senator.
