Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C-Ballston Lake) today honored the Rotary Club of Clifton Park (formerly the Shenendehowa Rotary Club) with a New York State Senate Proclamation on the occasion of their official name change ceremony held at Wheatfields Restaurant in Clifton Park.
“The Rotary Club is a wonderful organization that I am proud to be a longtime member of. Their motto is ‘Service Above Self’ and it’s one I hope to work hard every day to achieve on behalf of the people I’m blessed to represent. The Rotary Club does amazing service work for so many here in our local community and across the nation and our world,” said Senator Jim Tedisco.
From providing dictionaries to third grade students to backpack drives to assist children and families in need to assisting in humanitarian missions to Honduras, Haiti, Zimbabwe and Brazil focused on providing access to safe drinking water to collection drives for our local food pantries to scholarship programs for graduating high school seniors, and many, many other programs, the Rotary Club of Clifton Park is always there to help, Tedisco noted.
“I want to give a special salute to longtime member Anne Cargile, who in 1995, made history by becoming the Club’s first woman to serve a full term as President reflecting the Club’s commitment to inclusion and leadership. I wish the Rotary Club of Clifton Park many more years of success in making a positive difference here in the 44th Senate District and beyond!” said Senator Tedisco.
