State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr., is bringing a free Mammogram Screening service to his constituents.
On Sunday, October 18, 2026, the American-Italian Cancer Foundation will have their Mammogram Bus located outside of Senator Addabbo’s Middle Village District Office located at 66-85 73rd Place from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., to provide free mammogram screenings to women who register for the event through Addabbo’s office.
“Regular screenings are crucial for catching cancer early—especially breast cancer—because earlier detection can be lifesaving,” Addabbo said. “I’m honored to sponsor this event as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October and to support it throughout the year. I also thank the American-Italian Cancer Foundation for bringing this important, no-cost service to my district.”
Senator Addabbo hosted the mobile mammogram van at his District Office in Woodhaven earlier this year.
In order to be eligible for the clinical breast exam, individuals must be:
• Women ages 40 - 75
• Currently living in New York City; and
• Had not had a mammogram in the last 12 months.
Uninsured patients are welcome, there are no co-payments, and all deductibles are waived for this service. Bring a photo ID and insurance card (if insured). Although registration is preferred, walk-ins will be accommodated on a limited basis.
To ensure that you are able to get a free mammogram screening, call the American-Italian Cancer Foundation at 1-877-628-9090 to make an appointment.
