CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) was one of the many agencies that participated in Senator Farley and the Catholic Charities Family Resource and Support Center's 2nd Annual Community and Family Wellness Day on April 9th in Amsterdam. At this event, State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C, I - Schenectady) presents Linda Burns, Director of CASA of Fulton and Montgomery Counties, with a New York State Senate Citation proclaiming April as National Child Abuse Prevent Month. Agencies like CASA recognize April as a time to raise awareness about child abuse and encourage communities to support children. CASA is hosting its 3rd Annual Celebration of Children Showcase as part of National Child Abuse Prevention Month on May 3rd from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at the Amsterdam High School.
