Fighting To Keep Butler Prison Open

Lyons - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently met with members of the Wayne County Board of Supervisors, Wayne County officials and corrections officers from the Butler Correctional Facility to discuss Governor Paterson's plans to close the Butler prison by January 2011. Members of the group presented Senator Nozzolio with a petition objecting to the closure and signed by nearly 250 Wayne County residents. The petition will be forwarded to Governor Paterson and Brian Fischer, Commissioner of the New York State Department of Corrections.
