Senator Nozzolio honored U.S. Navy, Naval Reserve and Army Reserve veteran Rick Connors of Seneca Falls for his distinguished military career, in which he served for 26 years and earned over 15 medals. Rick was inducted into the New York Senate Veterans Hall of Fame, a new website highlighting the service of a veteran from each Senate District, during a special ceremony at the State Capitol. He currently serves as Chairman of the Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery that is currently under construction at the former Sampson Navy and Air Force Training Base in Romulus.
“I've been honored to work closely with Rick to make this final resting place a reality for our area veterans,” said Senator Nozzolio. “His commitment to honoring the lives of those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom is outstanding and I congratulate him for his years of exceptional service to our Nation.”
