NYS SENATOR ERIC ADAMS AWARDED HERO STEVEN ST. BERNARD WITH $1000
Senator Eric Adams acknowledged and honored Steven St. Bernard at the Brooklyn Cyclone’s game at MCU Park in Coney Island for his heroic act that saved a 7-year-old girl’s life.
Steven St. Bernard, a New York City bus driver who is also Vice President of his building's tenants association in Coney Island, rushed over to a building where a young girl was standing outside of a 3rd floor window on top of an air conditioner. As the young girl fell about 30 feet towards the street below, Steven St. Bernard caught her, saving her from a fatal fall; St. Bernard suffered a torn tendon in his arm.
During the pre-game ceremony, Senator Adams awarded Steven St. Bernard with a one thousand dollar savings bond as a contribution towards his daughter’s education.
