Senator Martins and Assemblywoman Schimel Participate in League of Women Voters Forum

The League of Women Voters of Nassau County held a forum at the Port Washington Library with New York State Senator Jack M. Martins and Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel recently. The League extended an invitation to both legislators who were happy to hold the forum during which members of the League and the public were invited to ask any questions they chose.
The members of the League and the public asked numerous questions on many important issues related to state and local government. Issues addressed included LIPA’s response to power outages, property taxes, hydro-fracking, gambling and local issues. Upon completion of the forum, the two lawmakers received an ovation.
Both Senator Martins and Assemblywoman Schimel both remarked that they would love to be invited back.
