State Senator John A. DeFrancisco is pictured speaking with Clarence Jordan during the 2012 SYNERGY graduation ceremony.  The Mercy Works/ SYNERGY program at Upstate Medical University provides goal-oriented college students or college-bound high school seniors with paid training and work experience.  There were more than 40 graduates during the ceremony on August 10, 2012.
