On November 6th, Senator Stewart-Cousins spoke at the press conference announcing the acquisition of Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle by Montefiore. SSMC was at risk of closing, but Montefiore's acquisition will save hundreds of jobs and maintain access to health care for the New Rochelle community.
