Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins visited the Sound Shore Medical Center on Wednesday, August 14th to receive a skirt made especially for her by Mr. Edrick Forde, a former tailor who will be celebrating his 106th birthday on September 11th. In a quote after the visit, Senator Stewart-Cousins commented, “I am incredibly thankful to Mr. Forde for the beautiful skirt. He is still as talented a tailor as he ever was, and I am so thrilled to know him. Adult day services, like those offered to Mr. Forde by Ludington Adult Day Services, are critically important because they provide senior citizens with opportunities to stay active and engaged in any number of activities. I have been, and always will be, an advocate for senior citizens and will continue fighting to improve services - like adult day care - that are so important to keeping older adults healthy, safe and happy.”
