During the 45th anniversary celebration of the Mineola Golden Age Club, held at Chateau Briand in Carle Place, Senator Jack M. Martins was honored to have been made an honorary member of the club by club president Lillian Barnola. Senator Martins attended many of the club's meeting when he served as Mayor of the Village of Mineola. Now, as Senator, he is an honorary member, which is no small recognition, considering the Mineola Golden Age Club is comprised of the esteemed seniors of the community who helped build the village into the wonderful community it is today. The club has a rich tradition and stays active through its meetings, activities, classes and trips. Senator Martins thanks club president Barnola and all the members for this prestigious honor.
