On Tuesday, May 21, 2013, Senator John Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) honored the induction of Richard Keiser to the New York State Senate Veterans' Hall of Fame. Mr. Keiser served with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam, and acheived the rank of Sergeant. He was wounded at the Battle of Hamburger Hill in May 1969. Professionally, he served as an Orangetown Police Detective for 33 years and is a member of various veterans' and community organizations. We are grateful for Mr. Keiser's service to his community and country.
