(Dobbs Ferry - October 21st) Senator Stewart-Cousins recognized the good work and care the staff at the Ashikari Breast Center in Dobbs Ferry provides to patients as part of St. John's Riverside Hospital. This facility bears the name of Dr. Roy Ashikari who still practices there 26 years after it was first established. Countless numbers of lives have been saved in the last 26 years and they continue to do so today. Dr. Ashikari's son Andrea, also a doctor at the center, was there to receive a Senate Proclamation today in his father's absence, and was joined by Dr. Melita Charles and a physician's assistant who works at the Ashikari Breast Center.
