Senator Young Recaps the State Budget on "Your Voice"
Catharine Young
May 5, 2014
Senator Young went on Senate TV today to discuss the good news in this year's new state budget.
Topics included: property tax relief, road and pothole repairs, job creation, economic development, education, senior priorities, agriculture, the environment, TAP for college students, women's health issues, and welfare reform.
Senator Young also discussed her priorities for the remainder of this year's legislative session, such as the "Homes for Heroes" program, which would assist returning wounded veterans in making necessary modifications to their homes. Many of our wounded warriors are coming home with amputations or traumatic brain injuries and need to adapt their homes with wheelchair ramps and other expensive alterations. They have served our country and state with honor and distinction. Now it's our turn to help them readjust to life back home.
