Senator Bonacic joined with Port Jervis Mayor Kelly Decker (far right) and The Ruby Group on Thursday, October 2 to announce the renovation of a 1910-era building at 29-31 Front Street to create new commercial space on the first floor, and six apartments on the upper two floors. The Ruby Group has already successfully completed a distressed building renovation at 19-23 Front Street.
Mayor Decker and the Senator thanked company executives, CEO Peter Berman (on left) and Principal Howie Berman (in red shirt), for their dedication and generosity in preserving the Port’s historic past, as well as providing new and improved spaces for local businesses and housing opportunities for residents. "This is another example of a public-private partnership that is working well," said Senator Bonacic.
