I was pleased to join Governor Cuomo, Lt. Governor Duffy and my colleagues from the State Legislature today as the Governor signed legislation to combat growing heroin and opioid epidemic. As a member of the Joint Senate Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Addiction, I heard firsthand of the horrors these drugs can have on users and their families. This package of legislation is a step in the right direction to putting an end to this statewide problem.
