Greenburgh Police Department Summer Youth Program Graduation
Andrea Stewart-Cousins
September 1, 2015
(Greenburgh - August 22nd) On August 22nd, Senator Stewart-Cousins addressed the 28 graduates of the Greenburgh Police Department's Summer Youth Program. She congratulated the teenagers on all they've accomplished during the training session and commended Greenburgh Police Chief Chris McNerney for continuing the tradition - now in its 17th year - of this seven week program. Campers forge new relationships with police officers in the community as they learn more about law enforcement and important life skills including CPR and First Aid. They met physical challenges and gained self-esteem as a result. Two of the camp's former graduates are now police officers in Greenburgh. Congratulations to all!
