The first official day of fall is Wednesday, September 23rd, and with fall comes harvest favorites such as apples and pumpkins. Senator Hugh  Farley encourages all New Yorkers (and tourists!) to visit and support our local apple orchards. There are approximately 694 apple growers in New York State. To find the nearest u-pick orchard, visit the New York State Apple Association’s website www.nyapplecountry.com. It's a great way to support our local farmers.
