“No New Yorker should be forced to choose between caring for a loved one in need and potentially losing their job or ability to support themselves. That is why passing a real paid family leave program is a top priority for the Senate Democrats. I am glad that the Assembly Majority stands united with us in pursuing a meaningful paid family leave system that will provide essential support for New York employees, especially low-wage workers. As a national leader, we have a responsibility to serve as an example and finally pass this paid family leave proposal, and I urge the Senate Republicans to drop their opposition to this essential program.”
