Senator Bonacic Announces $50,000 Grant to Help the Village of Ellenville Purchase a Street Sweeper
February 5, 2016
(Middletown, NY)- Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) is pleased to announce that he has secured a $50,000 grant, through the State Municipal Grant Program, to help the Village of Ellenville purchase a street sweeper. Street Sweeping has been defined by the Environmental Protection Agency as a best practice in preventing storm runoff. Not only will the purchase of a street sweeper help environmentally, it has the added benefit of helping to provide a clean appearance for the Village’s streets.
“I have no doubt that these funds will be used in a positive way, to help beautify the Village of Ellenville, promote good environmental practices, and save taxpayer money” said Senator Bonacic.
“The Village of Ellenville continues to appreciate the ongoing efforts of Senator Bonacic,” said Village of Ellenville Mayor Jeff Kaplan. “He has always been there when we have needed money for capital projects.”
