(Middletown, NY)- Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) is pleased to announce that he has secured $75,000 for the Town of Mount Hope to make upgrades at the Hidden Valley Sewage Treatment Plant, located on Heather Lane in the Town of Mount Hope. The Town of Mount Hope has to install a new decholoration system to help reduce residual chlorine levels, and install a Ultraviolet Light System to also help eliminate chlorination. Funding for this project was secured through the State Municipal Grant Program.
“Ensuring that residents have access to safe, quality drinking water is a top priority for municipal officials, and by making these improvements, the Town of Mount Hope is committed to protecting its people,” said Senator Bonacic.
“On behalf of the taxpayers of Mount Hope, Senator Bonacic has done it again by securing a $75,000.00 grant for the much needed upgrades to the hidden valley sewer district. We will be forever grateful for his hard work and dedication to our community,” said Town of Mount Hope Supervisor Chad Volpe.
