(Middletown, NY)- Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) joined hospital officials, and local elected officials to announce a $40 million investment into Bon Secours Hospital in Port Jervis. Earlier this year, the State announced a $24.5 million dollar grant to Bon Secours for the development of a medical village for Port Jervis located at Bon Secours Hospital. The grant was made through the Capital Restructuring Financing Program, and the Essential Health Care Provider Support Program. The additional $15 million will be invested by Westchester Medical Center Health Network. In addition to the medical village, the money will also help with renovations at the hospital. Senator Bonacic spoke at the event and discussed how an investment like this will improve the healthcare delivery system in the Port Jervis Community.
