Senator Bonacic Announces $50,000 Grant for the Town of Fallsburg

(Albany, NY)- State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) announced today that the Town of Fallsburg has been awarded a $50,000 grant for the purchase of a plow truck for the Town Highway Department. The funding was made available through the State and Municipal Facilities Program, money that was appropriated in the 2016-2017 State Budget.
“I’m pleased to have worked with the Town of Fallsburg to provide this funding that will improve operations at the Town Highway Department,” said Senator Bonacic. “Not only will a new plow truck help the Highway Department keep the roads safe for motorists, it will also save the local taxpayers money.”
Said Town of Fallsburg Supervisor Steve Vegliante., “This $50,000 grant will help ensure that the members of the Highway Department can continue serving the residents of our Town effectively, by keeping our roads safe during inclement weather. I want to thank Senator Bonacic for his continued support of our Town and its residents.”
