February 10, 2017
(Albany, NY)- Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) announced today that the Town of Masonville will be awarded a $75,000 grant for the purchase of a new snow plow truck for the town Highway Department. The grant was secured through the State Municipal Facilities Program, funding for which was appropriated in the 2016-2017 State Budget.
“I’m glad to provide this grant funding to the town of Masonville’s Highway Department for a new snow plow truck,” said Senator Bonacic. “This grant will improve public safety in the Town, while also saving the local taxpayers money.”
Town of Masonville Supervisor Michael Spaccaforno said, "I want to once again thank Senator Bonacic for his continued support of the Town of Masonville and our residents. This grant funding will allow our Highway Department to keep our roads clear, and our resident’s safe during inclement winter weather. It is a very good thing for our town, to have a working relationship with our state senator."
