September is Hunger Action Month and Thursday, September 14, is Hunger Action Day.

Across the Southern Tier, 1 in 4 residents receive assistance from the Food Bank at some point during the year. That's approximately 44% higher than the national average of 1 in 7 Americans served by the Feeding America network of food banks.
