In 2016, approximately 3,000 students in 41 Southern Tier school districts were helped.

Senator O'Mara joined many other Food Bank of the Southern Tier volunteers to assist this year's BackPack Program.

Thanks to this effort, at-risk children receive an easy-to-prepare bag of nutritious food every Friday during the school year.  In 2016, approximately 3,000 students in 41 Southern Tier school districts were helped.
