On May 1st, Senator Serrano joined Assemblymember Dan Quart and several of his colleagues in calling for the East Side of Manhattan, including East Harlem, to be added to the list of mask distribution sites. He was pleased that several mask distribution sites in East Harlem were later added for scheduled distribution. 

On May 8,  Senator Serrano led a letter, alongside Borough President Gale Brewer and Assemblymember Rebecca Seawright, requesting that Mayor DeBlasio add a scheduled mask distribution event for Roosevelt Island. You can read the letter here. 

"As New York City expands efforts to provide face coverings for the public, we must ensure that all areas of the city have access to the supplies they need to keep themselves and their communities safe," said Senator Serrano.
