On Thursday, April 24th, during a well-attended Tenant Town Hall event held at the local community center, Senator Serrano, alongside his fellow elected officials, collaborated with Community Voices Heard Power (CVHP), the Met Council on Housing, and Tenants and Neighbors to provide a platform for renters to voice their concerns, and discuss pressing legislative and budget priorities that significantly impact the lives of tenants across the state.
During the town hall meeting, Senator Serrano listened attentively to the concerns of his constituents. He addressed a range of issues, including soaring rent prices and inadequate tenant protections. Senator Serrano highlighted several legislative initiatives aimed at these challenges. He emphasized the importance of protecting vulnerable populations, particularly low-income families and individuals facing financial difficulties. The Senator reiterated his strong commitment to legislative measures that enhance tenant protections and improve housing accessibility for all residents. He called for increased investment in affordable housing projects and advocated for reforms to create a fair and equitable housing market.
