Ortt Co-Sponsors Legislation Restricting Where Sex Offenders Can Live

A news release was sent out to the media regarding Senator Ortt’s support for legislation that would allow local governments to restrict where a convicted sex offender can live. It would prohibit level 2 and level 3 sex offenders from living within 1,500 feet of their victim, a school, or from attending school events. Major Grant Funds Robotic Programs for WNY Schools

A big announcement was made at Lockport High School. WNY STEM Hub has secured a $50,000 grant to launch 25 new robotics teams in Western New York school districts, preparing our students for a 21st century workforce. Lockport Robotics The Warlocks FIRST Team 1507, one of two robotics teams in Niagara County, has offered to serve as mentors to new teams as they get started.
