'Residency' Sex Offender Bill Passes in Senate

A bill sponsored by Senator Ortt passed in the Senate Thursday. It redefines what substitutes as a residency and fixes a loophole that essentially allows sex offenders to spend a considerable amount of at a residence other than the primary one registered with the state. State Grant Helps Mount St. Mary’s Hospital Expand Chemical Dependency Treatment Services

New York State provided $825,000 to help the hospital treat more individuals and ultimately save lives. The grant will allow Mount St. Mary’s Hospital to expand its Clearview Treatment Services with 8 additional beds to treat individuals struggling from drug/alcohol abuse.
