BRONX, NY – State Senator Jeff Klein (D-Westchester/Bronx) will be awarding a $2,500 state grant to the Warriors Football Club, of the Bronx, to support the League’s ongoing activities.

“Organized sports not only help our children develop athletically today, but are pivotal in helping our children become the responsible leaders of tomorrow,” said Klein. “The Warriors Football League is an important group here in our community and I am pleased to have secured a state grant to enable our children to continue participating next season.”

Jerry Demers, Director of the Warriors Football Club expressed their gratitude for the grant saying, “Warriors Football is greatly appreciative for the grant which Senator Klein was able to secure for us. I know this money will go a long way to ensure the continuing success of the league. Warriors Football teaches kids not just football, but about life, and I know this money will help continue the life education of these young people.”
