In an effort to bolster financing for local health organizations, Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, Cornwall-on-Hudson) has secured state funding for Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc. and the nursing and paramedic clinical laboratory at Ulster County Community College.
"These groups are doing tremendous work to directly and meaningfully impact the lives of patients and their families," said Senator Larkin. "The professionals and volunteers at Hospice provide the most invaluable services to people at the most difficult time in life. The training lab at Ulster County Community College will continue to produce the area’s best nurses and paramedics. It has been a privilege to help to help support their work in any way I can."
Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc. has received $25,000 toward the construction of a handicap accessible walking path that will be adjacent to the patient rooms at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence.
The Nursing and Paramedic Clinical Laboratory at Ulster County Community College has received $50,000 toward the expansion of its instruction lab.
