Klein Applauds Department Of Insurance Announcement On Allstate Insurance

This is why I have reached out to the Superintendent of the New York State Insurance Department, Eric Dinallo. I have been meeting with Superintendent Dinallo and his staff to discuss this problem and determine what the State can do to help the affected homeowners. Today’s announcement provides strong support to legislation that I have already introduced in the State Senate.

Long Island. My bill would reduce that amount to 2% and require the insurer to provide a financial or risk analysis justification for any future large-scale cancellations.
