Senator Fuschillo to Hold Community Meeting for Senior Citizens

State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. will be holding a community meeting for senior citizens to help them learn how to protect themselves from identity theft and other types of fraud.
The meeting will be held at 10:45 am on Tuesday, December 1st at the Jewel Quinn Senior Center, located at 1260 Meadowbrook Road in North Merrick.
At the meeting, seniors will learn what steps they should take to safeguard themselves and their finances from identity thieves. Seniors will also be shown what to do if they become an identity theft victim.
In addition, an officer from the Nassau County Police Department’s First Precinct will explain the steps seniors should take to protect themselves from other types of fraud. Discussion will focus on recent incidents where criminals posed as utility or municipal workers in order to gain access to their victim’s homes.
