State Senator John Bonacic (R/I/C – Mt. Hope) has requested that Governor David Paterson declare a disaster affecting the Towns of Callicoon, Delaware, and Rockland in Sullivan County.
He made the request to the Governor today and also contacted the Director of the State Emergency Management (SEMO) office, John Gibb, to request SEMO work with the County to prevent further disaster.
Senator Bonacic said, “I have asked the Governor to declare a disaster for the Towns of Callicoon, Delaware, and Rockland in Sullivan County. The County Manager has made the same request. We need to protect people and property and I urge SEMO to mobilize, and provide any and all assistance they can,” Senator Bonacic said.
