Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. today visited Park Avenue Elementary School in the North Bellmore School District to thank students for participating in his annual “Extend the Holidays” toy drive.
“Extend the Holidays” is an annual toy drive Senator Fuschillo organizes for the benefit of children in Winthrop Hospital. The toys collected by the Park Avenue students will be delivered to the hospital after the holiday season, so that child patients can experience the joys of receiving a holiday gift throughout the year.
“Once again, the students at Park Avenue School did an outstanding job and collected a tremendous amount of toys. They should be very proud of their efforts, because they are going to bring smiles to the faces of children who are in need of a little extra cheer,” said Senator Fuschillo.
