New York State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently joined with the Integrated Medical Foundation and Bostwick Laboratories to sponsor a free prostate cancer screening program at the Copiague Library.
Prostate Cancer is the second most common cancer in men, with approximately one in six men being diagnosed with it in their lifetime, according to the American Cancer Society. Early detection is vital to successfully treating prostate cancer.
Over 50 men participated in the program and received a free prostate cancer screening. Men who were unable to participate in the screening program but would like additional information about prostate cancer screenings can call Senator Fuschillo’s office at 516-882-0630.
