Senator Kenneth P. LaValle (center) recently sponsored the Long Island Cares, Inc. Harry Chapin Food Bank mobile outreach program at his district office in Selden.  The program was launched to help individuals and families that are having a hard time making ends meet.  The specially equipped mobile outreach program offers a traveling pantry that distributes food, personal care items, household supplies, pet food, school supplies, and more.  In addition, they provide valuable information and referral services for people in need, including information on where to seek assistance for maintaining a home and government entitlement services.  For more information on Long Island Cares outreach programs, please call Long Island Cares at 631-582-3663.
