Senator Golden Announces Annual Senior Fair

State Senator Mary Golden is announcing his upcoming 8th Annual senior fair to be held on Friday, May 21, 2010 at St. Patrick’s School Auditorium, located at 9511-4th Avenue (corner of 97th Street) to offer local seniors an opportunity to learn of the services available to assist them with their property taxes, their prescription drug coverage, their personal safety, and their health.
The senior fairs will feature information and assistance offered by various City agencies including: A.A.R.P., the Department for the Aging, the Department of Environmental Protection, the Department of Sanitation, the Department of Health, the Department of Parks, the New York City Police Department and New York City Fire Department.
Additionally, the Medicare Rights Center, the EPIC Program, the Metro Card Mobile Sales unit and senior service agencies will be attending. Free blood pressure screenings will also be available and lunch will be served.
