Senator Jack M. Martins sponsored a Sweets for Soldiers campaign to collect Halloween candy for our service men and women. Senator Martins’ office received donations thanks to the generosity of the schools in the Seventh Senate District. One of those schools that made a generous donation was the Rushmore Avenue School in Carle Place.
Dropping off the donation were Jen Sussman and Laurie Papa from the Rushmore Avenue School. “I can’t thank the Rushmore School enough for their generous donation. The students parted with their Halloween candy, showing their appreciation for our soldiers. They should be commended,” said Senator Martins. “The response from the community has been outstanding, from the teachers, students and parents. Thank you.”
